Suppose i want to filter out the power supply at 10Khz,
which capacitor should I choose:

1pF
1nF
1uF
1mF
1F
and why?

Hello daojx,
Assuming that there is an answer for such question, my best bet is to say that you have to select the capacitor that self-resonates at 10kHz.
Hope this helps

There is an old trick where you use a series inductor in the filter and parallel resonate it at the frequency you want to notch out.

I think it is better that you use an inducer in range of milli or micro in parallel with two caps. one of them in range of micro and the other in range of nano.
this is to decrease the low and high frequency noises.
