Hi,
I have a question regarding op amp layout. Generally, what is the critical requirement for the layout? I heard that direction of the current not that critical nowadays because the way they do the fabrication will take care of this issue. Of course 90 degree direction is not allowed. How about the direction like ====> <====

I am not clear on your question.
Have you referred to 'CMOS IC LAYOUT' by Dan Clein ?

| I think at least you need to take care matching of input pair and try to avoid patter shift. If necessary, also put guarding rings.
