hi all i`ve come across a tranformer that has 2 secondary winding labeled ...6va 6v....
what does the 6va stand for as im only used to the standard 0-6 0-6.......any help or wiring diagram would be greatly apprieciated ..thanx guyz
6VA is the power rating of the transformer.
It is volts * amps. Transformers are rated by temperature rise, how much continuous power you can draw without melting the windings, (exceeding 70%C). In this case, you can draw 1 amp at 6 volts with the secondries in parallel, or 1/2 amp at 12 volts, secondries in series.
