1- Matlab link for code composer studio:

I have been using Matlab link for code composer studio
for RTDX (real time data exchange) but the commands for readmsg and writemsg don't work. Matlab gives an error in the line where i've used the commands.I have developed an equalizer in simulink and embedded it on DSP6711 DSK board using "Embedded target for TI dsps"

Have u used it ? Can u help me in this regard?

2-TI EVM

OUr deptt.has two EVM boards but nobody has worked on them .I tried to use it using the user manual which says THAT U MUST have THE evm SUPPORT SOFTWARE CD .THis cd is is not there but i do have the cd for CCS for dsk.
- IS CCS the same for DSK and EVM boareds ?
- do i need a driver for the evm boards ?

some people at TI told me that the CCS software is the same and there is no need for a pci driver .

but the pc always asks for a driver and so i am unable to use the evm board ?

can u help me ? and provide the software ?

Hi syed,

About you problem with the EVM.

Most probably you have board from the TI or from the Spectrum Digital.

I haven't worked with such a board but most probably you should download
drivers for CCS for your board from TI or Spectrum Digital. (Most probably these
drivers are included in the support software CD which is missing)

Please provide more information about your board so it is easy to get answer.

Best regards

syed sorry,

i didn't saw that actually you are using DSP6711 DSK board.

You know this link http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmds320006711.html right?
I think that most probably support for this board is build in the CCS for the C6000 family,
so no extra software needed.

In fact can you write simple program in CCS and try the procedure from there first.

Best regards
