who can tell me where or when active resistor be applied ?
and how do I know the resistor value when I change Vgs ?

Active resistor is generally the o/p impedence (Ro) of a Transisor (BJT/MOS)
for obtaining High gain and reducing the area we use active loads (more common term for active resistor)
