Post19 Jun 2004 21:52   code composer

I havve purchased a 6211 ti evm kit from ebay. Unfortunately the unit did not have any software included.
I have never programmed a DSP chip before, and managed to download the Code composer from TI. I tried to locate a driver for the board, however it seems that the only driver I found is the one which which fits in the PCI slot. As explained I am new, so I do not rule out missing out on something.
any idea and on how to get started. (I am not new to DSP, I am new to programming DSP chips)

if you donn't have the driver, you had better download it from the website or offical web, or else you maybe not able to emulate the evm.
i think you can get the driver from the TI company, in the CCS setup program, you can choose add the driver for the menu, the driver may be downloaded from TI official web free:)

Post20 Jun 2004 17:43   Is there an easier way other than TI chips?

Is there any fast way of how to learn to program DSP chips? TI seem a bit difficult for begineers.

HI SERGIOD !

Listen friend the best way is to call TI to tell them that you can't download the eval stuff and if they could sent you the CD .. i did that and they sent me a CD. For some REASON TI plays games with their EVAL soft .. somedays you fin it some other it goes AWAY .. i just give them a CALL NOW .. they sent it NO QUESTIONS ASK and NO MONEY DOWN!!

i mean if you LIVE in the US!
