HI

Here is the better model of 74HC595 for proteus test stuff and lib for model included in upload, I hate IEC types chip these consume more space in design, I also designing 74HC164 simple model, hope friend will like this model

can i use 74hc164 instead of 74hc164 with same code

74ls164 mean low power shotkcy ttl chip and 74hc164 mean high speed cmos chip you can used same code for bothy chips

thanks for the reply i just build the 6 of 5x7 led matrix board with pic16f877a using 74hc164 for cols and for rows giving direcly from the portb

can u give me some suggestion so that i can make led moving message as i am writing this code in mikroc www.mikroe.com coz ccs c compiler has so much limitations for free

this the schematic and the code in the pdf file
i not understand from how its driving to the rows
can u pls tell me about this for me
i be appreciate

Do you have the kindness to put a schematic for one 74hc165 with bcd paralell input driving an 74hc164 serial input paralell 7 seg output in proteus simulation?

I tried but i can`t, start with 8 and then go extinguish one by one the segments
