Hi,
The Book by Gelb is an excellant introduction to Kalman filtering. For RLS and other variants refer Simon Haykins Adaptive filter theory.
If you have particular question about Kalman filtering do refer it to me.

Have a look at the book "Adaptive Signal Processing" by Bernard Widrow and Samuel Stearns.

Yes it's a good book, although with a rather high level. It can be downloaded from MCU server, heve a look at the EDAboard.com Forum Index.
