 I found the vhdl source code for jtag controler ,such as replace the 74act8990 chip in TI dsp emultor xds510pp.
everybody see that the code availibility? Can it replace act8990?

| This project looks very interesting ..It seems that there is an iterface to a USB by unsing a FTDI chip .. is that what that is ??

| Well here is the deal this is an old deal . I NOW recall abou this company selling it "IS NOT REALLTY A XDS150pp compatible emulator . IS just a USB jtag .. SO is not made to be compatible in any way with the Ti XDS510 drivers .. It could probably be turn into an emulator But it will require to get inside all the TI specs to write a driver . I mean a big job!

The protel99se pcb & sch are pretty good!
But the problem is the ACT8990 not easy to get.Can anybody use FPGA or CPLD to replace this chip???

| maybe xds510 is too old. we now use xds560, but sometime it's also no stable in ccs.
