Hi,
I found it attached on Old Yaskawa motor SGM-02B312B. It is Sony made magnetic rotary encoder.
Anybody know how this thing work?
I only know the principles of optical rotary encoder.
How to find the wiring fin out?
Any one have any clue?
I have ask Yaskawa by mail, but no answer.

I am not sure which type, but it have 9 cables output from the device.

Yaskawa SGM (04U3B4L, etc) with magnetic rotary encoder
pin1: blue => A ch output
pin2: blue/black => A/ ch output
pin3: yellow => B ch output
pin4: yellow/black => B/ ch output
pin5: green => C ch output
pin6: green/black => C/ output
pin7: gray => supply dc 0V
pin8: red => supyly dc 5V
pin9: orange => frame ground
