Post27 Feb 2004 9:39   HFSS-calculation of mesh

have someone know HFSS how to calaulate number of mesh??
Because i want to know how much memory to calaulated in my case.
My case is roughly 200mm and the sweep frequency is 2GHz.So the wavelength is almost the same with bodylegth.have some know how much memory to be used??In the same time, please tell me how to calculate.
thank you......

Hi
What the HFSS carves the meshes is determined by the adaptive mesh tech.It is based on FEM,and you can choose the initial mesh member and the increased ratio. Ardinarily, the mesh dimension is always 1 in 8 or 10 wavelength.
Like your example, calculating it maybe use 500MB or above memory, you can test.

Are you sure?? Because i have 1GB memory, but
hfss still show the poor of memory. And can you tell me how to calculate memeory detail???
Thank you...
