Measure the behaviour of a mechanical system (galvanometer)

Get (measure) a mathematic model of a scanningsystem (galvanometer+amp.)

Hello,

in a previous post (http://www.elektroda.pl/eboard/searchtopic62007-.html) I asked for a mathematic model of a scanning system (galvanometer and amplifier). But I got no sufficient result. Companies like “Cambridge Technology”, “GSI Lumonics (General Scanning”, “Laserworks” or “Scanlab” don’t give information like this to other people – I think it’s understandable.
Now I would like to get a mathematic model by myself (measuring the transfer function? Step response? Frequency response?) of the galvanometer and amplifier. The model should act as the real hardware when giving values (amplitude based on time) as inputs.
With the feedback signal of the galvanometer it should be possible to measure the moving of the galvanometer dependant on the input signal of the amplifier to build up the mathematic model.

What do you think about my intend? Could you recommend software and hardware?

Any ideas are welcome.

Bye,
