Is that true ?

| As far as I know, RF design in China is just start up and more and more design requirements will arise in the coming few years. In fact, very few Chinese companies now can offer sound RF solutions.

Dp you know if there are Chinese companies that wants to support with funds foreign companies RF research or start with them a joint venture?

as far as i know,
it's still not mature in RF IC in china for it's difficulity,
but baseband ic might be a chance for china.
otherwise, there are many related wireless software engineers for layer1 and protocol, MMI in china.

| I have worked for two wireless IC companies. One is focus on CDMA modem IC design, the other is Wlan baseband IC. So, actually, few design house did RF r&d in China.

| China has many startup company in RF design. Because CMOS RF is hot nowdays, the market has no dominent company now. So many chinese company get into this field.

As far as I know, many companies now startup their RF IC research. However, since the design capability if weak, there is no product yet.
And with a lot of people going back to china, and the number of engineers in this field being bigger, the design capability will be stronger, there are really a lot of chances.
