Switch Reluctance Motor - where to find?
Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a source for *affordable* SRM type motors? i would like it for personal experimentation. something in the range of 1/2 HP. i know they come in many constructions (i.e. 3 phase, 9 phase, bi-filar etc). its ok.

i understand that there might be a source in old wash machines and old dryers. does anyone know which make/model of wash machine these motors can be found in?
