I want to know , if I want to multiplex 4 sevensegments, which refresh rate I must use for everyone? If I use 8 sevenseg. which refresh rate ?
( I think every 4ms for each one , is it true?)

If I remeber correctly the refresh rate should be at least 50 Hz for the complete display so for a 4 digit display this would be 5 mS per digit and for a 8 digit display this would be 2.5 mS per digit.
You can try lower refresh rates but if you go too low you might see the display flicker.
hope this helps

| Hi .. I build one with 8 digit and I use 1 ms for switch between each digit. It looking good for me. You can try with several timing. If it to slow you will see it flicker, if it to fast led light will dimmer. But as C-Man said. 50Hz or more will be good. I think 60Hz is a good one (as a lowest flicker free refresh rate of computer monitor)
