Hi Danesh,

Yes is possible. Once u have generated the structure in Matlab femlab can simplify things so you don't have to do the em coding urself.

Cheers,

Hello, Danesh!

Fractal generator based on L-Systems

What kind of antennas you like to simulate??

Hi eirp!

I am planning on using fractal for a multiband antenna. Maybe from the DAB range to mobile phone range. Then bluetooth to hyperlan range. Will appreciate if anyone can give ur comments on this.

Cheers,

i would like to simulate koch fractal antenna. rite now i have problem simulating it using microwave office, thats the reason i ask for second opinion. im quite new to this topic im pleased that ur willing to give ur opinions. thank

Hi,

now I can say - forget about MWO.
It use uniform mesh so u need very fine meshing to include details.
I recommend you to use MoM simulator with nonuniform (triangular) mesh like IE3D. I did simulations of Koch mictrostrip patch antenna there.
Waiting for your comments....

the thing is my supervisor aspect me to run this simulation using MWO. i don really have much choice on software opitions. this is my bigest problem anyway if u don mind can u suggest me fractal antenna that can be simulated using MWO, thanks

Hi, danesh!

You aren't lucky guy if you're don't have other opinions than MWO Rolling Eyes
Built-in EM simulator is sufficient to do some particular and not very complex tasks with cooperating of linear simulator.

Well, you need to select fractal antenna with 90 degs angles only because the MWO's mesh is only uniform (rectangles only). This helps you to reduce computer demands. Thus try antennas like based on Minkowski curve...

Kind regards,

Eirp

do u have any reference on Minkowski curve cuase all my reference is on koch antenna. if u have can u upload to me i already send the upload sever webpage particulars to u using private msg.
