YES XYZ algorithm. I thnk you should spend more time studying rather then sending absurd messages over the forum.

correct me if i am wrong but XYZ algorithm is more computation expensive and it is an old algorithm of 80's. so there must be better algos available

I would look at the dvdr help forum . There is a codec there called KVCD. in svcd mode using TEMPG it is possible to comprese 3 houres on to a single cdr 80. not 10kbs but the best you will do with a watchable quolity.

| Apply Rate-Distortion Theory and check distortion, implementation complexity and processing delay to achieve the required bit-rate.

May be you can find the info on vedeo phones -they used to send video in both direction via analog
PSTN access line . I have seen those , but at 10 Kb per sec quality is really bad even =when appeared on 100x200 resolution display .

| I think it can reached at 10kbps in some condition, yet you shouldn't get good and big picture . the embalazer system in Isral researching on MPEG-4 tech are focusing on transmitting video&audio in GSM and GPRS network.

XYZ algo. has been proven to be computationally affective using 3D-DCT.
Please spend more time with your books ! ! !

Hi volta
3D-DCT no doubt exploits both spatial and temporal (time-dimension) correlation but the hardware complexity increase due to requirement of video frames storage and processing.
