SwitchMin is a tool for minimizing boolean logic functions. The primary goal is to create minimum cost digital logic circuits from a set of boolean functions. A knowledge of switching theory is assumed, but SwitchMin can be a valuable learning aid during a course in switching theory and/or digital logic (such as UNL's EE370).
The main input into the combinatorial functions of SwitchMin is a switching system. A system consists of a set of inputs and a set of outputs. The outputs are specified using decimal notation.
The output is minimized functions displayed in various formats. SwitchMin supports three cost criteria for evaluating "minimum". (See "Features" for more details).
