Someone ever seen a page which links all companies who offer online sample ordering?

Might be also a good choice for selecting certain companies over others...

It depends of your country, but the following companies offer online sample ordering.

Texas Instruments www.ti.com
Maxim / Dallas www.maxim-ic.com / www.dalsemi.com
Analog Devices www.analog.com
National www.national.com
Microchip www.microchip.com
Atmel www.atmel.com

This companies offer free samples, but if you abuse the service will be cut off for the whole country. (Except USA)

In my country University Students requested 300 samples to Microchip in 1 day.
Result: Microchip suspended the service to my country.

Clare (wxx.clare.com): they sent me an embedded modem module for free!

Zilog (they sent me samples of the eZ80 when they first appeared; after that they sent me an eZ80 evaluation board for free; generally you need to contact them directly)

Analog Devices (LOTS of devices, including accelerometers and ADSP21xx DSPs)

Have anyone other than sadat007 had any luck ordering samples from Atmel?
I don't know anyone who have received their ordered Atmel samples.
What do you have to do to receive your samples?

I haven't had any luck ordering from Analog Devices either.

They don't even let you know that they wont send any samples.

Atmel has downtime now. They try to save money on samples. Please contact with local distributor because it serves all samples requests. Write to distributor about fantastic future volumes in sales, they should to help with samples.

Here in Brazil I only receive free samples from TEXAS.
National, Maxim and Analogo sometimes send some samples, But I have to pay heavy tax and duties for theses "FREE" samples.
This is Brazil !!!!

National are the best by far here in New Zealand, and Maxim are damn good too. Intersil ****, but after directly contacting their distributor i got some. TI also good,and Infineon (if thats what they are still called) were good a few years back.

I received samples the analog and don't pay tax and duties, the all free.

Philips is absolutely horrifying when it comes to samples. I wanted to check their new LPC21xx chips for a CPU demanding application, but I couldn't get a reasonable ammount of chips even if I was more than happy to pay for them, I didn't request them for free. Quite a strange way to introduce a new product, I must say.
