Many of the links at this site are dead, and not all companies give samples, but many do.

Additional advice: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH ATMEL!! Microchip has superior products and better prices. They also have analog and interface products.

Has anyone (from outsides United States) requested free samples from Wilco Corporation?

Maxim (www.maxim-ic.com) was sending free samples to Egypt, but suddenly they suspended it, i don't know why, and will they return it back or not!
Any info about that??

it is not an e-mail for requesting sample. in the confirmation there is a link to confirm it will guide to the rest part

i think all the above companies which are having sample request online they are sending directlly.But some of companies transfer it to there distributer.And That peoples delay or reject samples by checking requesters profile

I think I figured Atmel out!

You must look in the data sheets for the ordering information and use the EXACT NUMBERS IN THE DATA SHEET!! And don't order more than 3 per part number. I did that and got 4 different AVR samples (3 each).

The best way to get samples is to phone to the companies direct
this way your assured of good advice and support
and a chat from a like mined person

and also many more samples to try out
the rule is always
if you have a good sensible project
that can account for lots of sales or made models
then a company is far more likely to help

and what better way than to explain in person
this assures a company of your intent
i get samples from analog in 2days FROM THE USA
sometimes even 1-2hrs local agents
to make models in eda apps for other's to sim
but they still help and easily

but i never abuse these services
and tell the truth to them

my components box used to be full of samples
but i found over the time uses for them all in projects ....
i firmly beleve that many makers want to help and if your genuine
then there is little issue
to apporch ANY company for this service
business is business afteralll....
and i always offer to pay anyway
and send a card and thankyou's
nice to be nice
and fruitfull when you get the bits you need to byte

I ll try to reply to some of the querries:
Companies like Microchip, National do not entertain free email ID sample requests like yahoo, msn, etc you need to have a company email or otherwise known as corporate email account to have them.
As discussed most of the companies are tightening screws on their sample programmes reason is ABUSE.
T.I many a times doesnt send samples except USA and Canada.
Trick here is use sample program not to abuse it, whenever I need samples from most of the manufacturer I do get them except for a few ones, even things like optical & magnetic rotary encoders.
So nut shell is if you can prove that you are authentic most of the companies will send you samples.

Use another email... they block you, not your country. dont order too much or you'll be on their black list. If you keep doing that, the whole country cannot get free sample. dont use more than 3 name for the same address.
