Some company in tiwan and china will send you LCD sample bat it will cost you the shipment mostly by airmail (a try to diliver it via parcel mail will be considerd as a non serious buyer) US $50 - 100 via UPS
So my advice is to purchase one, the cost is around US $ 20 for single quantity
Digikey has one for US $24
