Post24 May 2003 19:02   Current generator in Mwoffice

I'd like to simulate the behavior of the second harmonic of a transistor. I have only an output model of the transistor that i use to match the circuit. To simulate the fundamental and the second harmonic i think of using 2 current generator. But in MWoffice i didnt fint any component to simulate such a current generator (that is to say a generator in which i can specify the frequency and its second harmonic). To tell you the truth id like to specify a generator with a spectra of frequencies and their 2nd harmonic.
Anyone could help me???
Sad
thanks a lot

To simulate fundamental and second harmonic in MWoffice you should use spice model of the transistor, NOT s2p model. You will have to add model in MWoffice library directory also .You will find more information in MWoffice help. There are some projects described.

I can only simulate the 1st and the 2nd harmonic: there isnt a non linear model for the transistor i have to use and of course i wont use a two port simulation. I have only an output model with L, C and microstrip. Nothing else. But this is the usual situation to design such power amplifiers...

thanks
