Post19 May 2003 14:07   Hspice 2003.3 vs 2002.2

What are the differences ? Which improvement ?

I found that .measure does work in 2003.3 in some case while it was good in 2002.2. I got :
"**warning**: measure equation evaluation cannot be node voltages or branch currents"

Any other bug or advantage when using the lastest (2003.3) ?

Bug? of course , there will be many new bugs associated with new version.
Improvement? Yes, but do you really NEED these?

Please note that this new version (2003.03) does not use the same instructions for mesures.

in old version 2001.4 work:

.MEASURE AC 'Id_Mm13b' PARAM='CDO(xi1.Mm13b)'

in 2003.03 the same instruction get:
**warning**: measure equation evaluation cannot be node voltages or branch currents
id_mm13b= failed measure parameter failed

Hi,

Thx joe2moon! This file is really useful. I was also hoping for the full documentation of the HSpice, not only the release notes. I will be very grateful if you or somebody else could help me with that manual.

Thx.

In my experience, 2003.03-SP1 converges better than 2003.03 for mixed-signal circuits.

Do you means 2003.3-sp1 is a independent package that can be installed without 03.3?

who have random pulse generator ??
I want to sim EYE pattern .. but how to generator
random number ??

I try use hspice behavior "E" elemenet .. but I use sffm + Vref
and use idea Comp only generator like "jitter clock"
but the signal still have period , not random number ..

thank you
