Thanks for your help.
I've found on the internet the GM862-GSM module form round solutions (http://www.roundsolutions.com/gsm/). I think these are the cheaper I've found (€80.00 a piece). I'll get the whole GSM system working (module+antenna+antenna cable) for less than €100. Has anybody had any experience with this module?

Regards

I suggest to you a gsm modul with gprs, because gprs is cheaper than sms.You must design a system supported gprs.

Sony Ericsson GR47 supports GSM, SMS, GPRS.
We use it in our products. We pay around $US40 for it.

Here's the datasheet:

Post14 Feb 2005 14:33   GSM 900/1800 module

Whore do you get those SonyEricsson modules from and and how big order must be ?

I have asked for Ericsson modules (not sure that it was same module) last year - their quotation was about 100 - 120 Euro for 1-2 piece order.
But we plan around +1K- 10K order if everything is OK .

I really do not think there are GSM modules at $10, regardless of the qty. Perhaps a zero from the price has been lost somwhere.
