This uploaded software is free ware because the AMBER CO is gone away no more support for this software so why i called this free ware altough this is a full version which i purchased in 1999,this software is for those people how have less expirence with pcb designing or want to use strip board.

I have download the file and tested in 98 and xp the installation is ok which type of problem in installation, does any else have same problem
with installation

Err is at 28% of Install
_ins0432 has caused an Err in zdata.dll
_ins0432 will now close

IT,S BIG SURPRISE FOR ME AGAIN WITH PROBLEM I TESTED IT AGAIN LOT OF PEOPLE DOWNLOAD IT ALTOUGH THIS UPLOAD IS PACKED WITH RECOVERY RECORD. WHAT VERSION OF THE WINDOW YOU ARE USING MAY BE IT HAVE SOME DLL MISSING. CAN ANY BODY HELP ME AND SEND ME A TEST REPORT AFTER INSTALLATION ALTOUGH I TESTED IT TWO TIME ON BOTH WINDOWS 98/XP

Install was successful I believe. Install seems to be ended at 28% but at the end rapport was OK. Installed on win98SE. Program works.

I have bit-compared your copy of StripBoardMagic with a copy downloaded from:
http://www.elektroda.net/download/pafiledb.php?action=download3&id=550
and your copy has a few hundred bytes of corrupted data (several references to http addresses etc., dated 2001 within a 1997 file !) in DATA1.CAB
This *may* be causing problems with some installs, but not others ?
Suggest anyone wanting this software downloads it from:

- The program will help you layout your circuit on veroboard (also known as stripboard).

| I have tried to use stripboard magic and it just does not work. The drawing tool is very basic and the transistion to stripboard did not produce 1 working board.

| just tried to install stripboardmagic 2 in vista and it totally crashed, i last installed in xp by clicking on the icon on the dsktop and telling it to run in 98 mode, cant even get to the icon on vista, any ideas thanks

The problem is that the installer is a 16bit win3.11 executable and Vista doesn't support 16 bit executable's at all and XP has very bad 16bit support.
I too can't get the installer working (using XP-SP3) but I unpacked the installer cabinet files and got the program to work. The program it self is a 32 bit Visual Basic 5 application and works fine under XP, not sure about Vista.
And at 4Mb what would you expect but a simple editor. it's a small and nice Board Editor.
