Post16 Feb 2003 19:32   New Linux distrubution

G´day Shocked

from long time ago i´m working to create a new linux distribution
from scratch, The intention of this distribution is to help all Electronics
designers. The distribution will have all kind of EDA/PCB applications like
eagle, components data sheets, mcu programmers and simulators,
SPICE tools, 555 design wizards, elctronics tryining sesions, etc Shocked

I wanna request all users of this fora to identify all necesary stuff that will be included within the linux distribution in order to create the first Electronics linux platform.

Linux links to Electronic applications will be apreaciated

Interesting idea Smile
Here you will find lots of links of free eda software running under linux,
it's the Free Design Flow of opencores.org:
http://www.opencores.org/OIPC/flow.shtml

If you want to create a new linux distribution be aware that if a software is free
it doesn't automatically mean that you can distribute it without permissions !

Greets,

sgrudu.
