Post13 Feb 2003 14:27   How to connect segment LCD to I/O-port ?

Does anybody have experience, if and how a segment LCD (without controller) can be connected to a simple I/O-port of a microcontroller.
NO external LC-Controller shall be used in order to cost-reduction.
Any idea ? Thanks for any help !
