Why make things complicated? Just pick up version 4.5 from:
h**p://www.catena.uk.com/Pages/download.html

And ... yes, it has limitations, but you'll be amazed what it let's you do (all functionality is there)!

And when you hit the wall, it's not even that expensive. Cheapest version is about E2000,- and the most expensive version E4200,-.

You'll have available:
- all device models (MEXTRAM, latest BSIM3, ... etc.)
- good convergence! (where PSpice fails SIMetrix doesn't)
- transient noise analysis
- let's you sweep about anything

It can read "Orcad/Microsim Schematics" schematics too. And ... a linux version is allmost ready.

Agree, SIMetrix Demo is amaizingly powerful and useful. I really like SIMetrix, it is the best spice simulator I've ever seen Very Happy

micro-cap is the best spice simulator!!! hehe
micro-cap 9.
if you have simetrix complete version up to version 3.
i can exchange micro-cap and can give you some power electronic circuit and model .
