You can use CSS hoac HTpic to program for Pic .

Hello,
As many other users said, the better choice is IC-Prog.
www.ic-prog.com
It works with more than 10 programmers, have support for a wide variety of PIC's , you could use it under Windows in all versions with minimum requierements and it's available in diferents languages.
I suggest you to try all the softwares, and then you choose by yourself

it's commandline but along with this great programmer (wisp628 from voti.nl) it works very well here. Supports a huge amount of PICs, even the more recent ones like 18f series.

I think you can use CCSC for writing C code for your Pic
here are some instruction about that program to code for PIC16F877A

| I ever use the JDM programmer to program the PIC. It works fine if i use desktop PC to download it. but i got a problem when i try to downloat the program using a notebook. the PIC microcontroller that i try to program is 16F877. Is the something wrong with the JDM Programmer???

| Your problem is the low voltage that handles the port RS232, you must change by another programmer that use the USB port USB like this www.winpic800.com
