Someone using DP83816?

Hi

I´m a rookie with VHDL and Verilog, I'm doing a small design to send some data in Ethernet Layer 2 and I thought of using the National DP83816. So I avoid having to implement the negotiation on the fpga mac since I have no knowledge of this. Is anyone using this PHYTER? Can you tell me how to get started this chipset?. thank you very much.

greetings
