I have some experiance with an open source EMC software avalible from http://sourceforge.net/projects/emc.
| Quote: |
| "EMC is software that implements real-time control of equipment such as machine tools, robots, and coordinate measuring machines. It runs in real-time under Linux with the NMT rtlinux patch, and in nonrealtime under Solaris, and WindowsNT." |
You might also want to check out http://www.linuxcnc.org/links.html for some links to Linux CNC resources.

| It should compile fine on RH 8.0. The dircet link to the file you want is here. Once you grabbed this package read the 'README' file for further instructions. Goodluck!
