02 Nov 2009 21:20 Power consumption of analog DLL. |

In the spec of TCI analog DLL I have the following lines:
- Power dissipation (nom) 9.69231mA @ 1.1GHz
- Supply voltage (nom, tol) 1.0V, +/-10%
How can I estimate its consumption for different voltage (1.1V), and different frequency (400MHz)? Does “digital” law CxFxV^2 work for an “analog” design?
Thanks.

| That is not a "digital" law. Yes it works fine for calculating the power dissipation in a switching analog circuit.

| Is DLL design can be considered as a switching analog circuit? Thanks!
