old GSM phones for microcontroller projects?

Who can suggest me which old GSM phones are suitable for easy connection to any microcontroller through standard serial connection? An old GSM phone can cost even less han 10$ on ebay!
But nokia phones, for example, does not usually support AT commands, they use FBUS and MBUS protocol, so they're not suitable.
