Why is the link in come website
hxxp:// or h??p://
when it should be http://

Any reason why is this so?

I've seen this used in forums where certain links are blacklisted or hyperlinking is not allowed. By changing the http:// the filter that usually recognizes the link as a link does not realize that hxxp:// is actually a link and allows it to be posted. A human understands that it should be http:// and changes it accordingly.

Its a way to circumvent message board/chat filters.
