I think it's because this site is for provide help to others, and not to be the first in a rank, so nobody cares about this.

The rankings on all forums that I'm aware of are based soley on the number of posts a person makes. This doesn't relate to how much knowledge they have, have 'trustful' they are, or how knowlegable they are. It simple shows how much time they spend answering forum quesitons - nothing more. Microchip has a forum, and there is one person who replies to almost every post. More often than not, his answers are useless, or eveen damaging, as he's not at all knowledgeable. And dispite the rules, many people post nonsensical response - often just to increase their score.
