Flashing Adverts - Turn Off

Hi,

While I accept that Ads are a necessary evil on such forums as EDA, the previous static ads were something I could live with.

However I find the latest EDA animated / flashing ones very annoying - being repeated with every new page you open - is there any way they can be turned off permamently by the user ?

If there isn't I think I will be turning off the forum... anyone share similar views ?
