Hi all
Hope to be fine
I really need your help as soon as posible since I am really worried about what I am doing:cry:
I am trying to design a board with FPGA cyclone III ep3c80 484
I need the footprints for this device and I found them in altera website:
http://www.altera.com/support/software/download/pcb/pcb-pcb_index.html
and
http://www.altera.com/products/software/partners/eda_partners/devices/eda-cyclone3.html
I can open .dra file with PCB editor but I can not use it as a liberary to place it in my design and I could not open .psm files with PCB editor too
for Orcad I want .llb or .lib files to use these footprints but I could not make them from .dra file and I can not open .psm file with orcad
can I open or use liberaries of layout orcad for PCB editor?
can I open PCB editr designs with orcad ? can I open PCB design from PCB editor to Orcad layout?
can you tell me exactly how can I see the footprints and liberaries of PCB editor? how can I open .psm file with PCB editor?
any body worked with PCB editor before? can you introduce me a good tutorial for that ?
I am sorry but I worked with protel before not this software

you cant open .psm file with PCB editor what you need to do is open dra file of the component save the footprint in your design library and donot forget to generate the psm file also save pads in your pads databse by same name as used in the dra file now try to place it I think it should work
Also keep name of the fpga same as defined in you design.

| ya you can use the layout library to pcb editor by first converting the layout design into pcb editor and export the library.
