01 Jul 2009 10:27 how to import idf file

Hi

I need to check my PCB 3D on solide edge.
I have created my components with height properity , and export the layout to IDF file.
my Question is How to open IDF files on solide Edge or any famous 3D program.

also Is it possible to create the components 3D in solid Edge and them export them to be used in ORcad?

If you have out put IDF then you have .emn and .emp files which you can import them into 3D software.

Now your question is not about OrCAD or any software to SE for that matter.
Your question is about SE. Well just open SE and import the files simple as that!

Read my post again. I answered your question.
Open SE and import the file there is no step by step. simple and easy.

Dear Majnoon,

I have checked all the import format within SE and Uni Graphics and can't find anything related to the IDF.
also I made some search for plugins and I found the attached two plugins.

I think both of them can't import IDF files wihout these plugins, IS there a less expensive way?
