Pretty much all you want to know and lots of stuff that you might not want to know can be found on NXP's LPCZONE
Unfortunately somebody starts talking right away, one of the early diseases of the NXP website which I thought they recognized as not being desired by their customers (no offense Jennifer, Amit, Axel....)
There is lots of useful information and it is most definitely worth checking for any LPC related questions.
http://www.standardics.nxp.com/microcontrollers/lpczone/
another very useful link for LPC based development tools is
www.lpctools.com
Cheers, Bob

specifically, there is a lot of microcontrollers with I2S bus, for example: NXP LPC1766 and STM32F103ZE has two I2S buses, LPC2378 and LPC2378 has one I2S bus.
a word of advice, if you would like to evaluate these microcontrollers, I recommend to use keil software: RealView MDK, you can download the demo version in the www.keil.com.
For the hardware, I suggest to use some evaluation board based on these microcontroller, click here you will find some.

A couple days ago NXP and ARM announced the availability of a code generation tool. That one works with a new board using the LPC1768 as well. May be that is a solution for you.
Information to the tool and the board can be found here:
