If the ATMEGA8 can bitbang USB, why cannot the PIC 628A or 877A?

So whay are there no such projects?

But of course there is a MAJOR difference in price. PLUS, using a ready to go USB uC does not have a hax0r value!

Come on guys... can't we do something about this?
