| pc with capture card and matrox g400 graphic card are you able to convert the signal.

If its a relatively old model, you might be able to convert it to pal.
You'll definately need a schematic, and a complete pal decoder with a comp input and r-y & b-y outputs (fairly easy to find in scrap tv's).
Quite a comlicated procedure...
Besides that, quite a few filters in the if, video and sound sections have to be replaced or re-tuned.
My opinion is that with the price of a new set, it's not worth the hassle.
