can someone suggest a free program that reads .db files?

This extension is for data bases. it may be an ancient extension that is not used today.

You search on the net program DBase from Ashton-Tate (next Borland).

Hi all,
.db files are used as database file to store the data. I use them for database applications with borland delphi.
However as mentionned by Aya2002, my PC is full of files named Thumb.db that I wanna delete.
Can someone tell me what does these file contain and how to delete them all automaticly ?

.db files are for windows databse files used for caching purpose
it contains information about the icons and folder view

you can disable automaitc generation of this type of files by deselecting cache my thumbnails in windows property option or through mmc console in windows.

i dont know in what format windows stores it.... But it contains little information about caching so i dont require to have a look into it
