Hello,
I currently making a design of a boost regulator drive that can output 30V with an input voltage of 3.0V to 4.5V, however, I can't find a controller that is capable of doing this.
Here are the specs:
Output voltage: 27V-33V
Output current: 0.2A to 0.4A
Input voltage: 3.0V to 4.5V (input current can be adjusted to meet the desired output current)
Switching frequency: 250kHz to 600kHz
Efficiency: 75% to 85%
I hope to hear from you guys.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Caps

| If you ask Nationals Webench tool, it suggests LM3478 or LM3488. They comply to your requirements, I think.

that is very low volt input.....do you have any auxiliary supply available of higher voltage for driving your mosfet with?
perhaps you need use a charge pump ic on that input to bump it up a bit for the controller's sake.....at least just to get it started off...then iot can use its own output voltage to power itself

How about using the component MC33063A (1.5A Peak Boost, Buck, Inverting switching regs from TI.
The data sheet reflects that it can accept +3V input. However, the examples only uses +12V.

hello,
i'll have a look at that controller....also, beware the right half plane zero with such a big input to output ratio.
the boost is famous for it.
