This circuit can remove the macrovision pulses from your video picture. The software for the pic is avalable from______f*p://ftp.epemag.wimborne.co.uk___

I have built this and it works. if anybodyneeds anymore help let me know

You have all that I have the board size is width 12.4 cms hight is 7.3 cms.
If you print it out to that size and then photocopy on to overhead projector film. You should be able to make a good photo template for photoboard.

Hope this helps

Yes it works with DVD and video . You do need to use the faster version 16f84. There is not much code involved but the chip has to switch very quikly. As I said this realy works (PAL) her in england the only change i made to the circuit was the coupling cap C11 that I changed for a 47 uf but this deepends on your equipment.

As the pic has to swich at very high speed you must use the Pic16F83-10p.
This is a 10 mhz chip.
I have not tried it with anything else so I would stick with this. If however you canot obtian this device you could try a batch of 16f84`s and pic the best one.
As the pic just switches the video op amps on and off its purly a question of speed as the video amps are high speed as well.

hi
u can use any 16F84 or 16F84A instead of this 16F83-10 Laughing
first : change LIST P=16F83 to LIST P=16F84 or 16F84A in asm source file and re-assemble it with MPASM
second : u can easily overclock any 16F84 up to 10 MHz (and any 16F84A up to 20 MHz), as it seem to be a Microchip secret Confused that 16F84-04 or 16F84-10 are EXACTLY the same chip, the only difference is the txt written on the package Shocked

The pic counts the line pulses from the the start of the frame pulse and then switches over to the other opamp for 2 line pulses where it inserts dc instead of the macrovision pulses It then switches back again . As it is expecting 625 lines count, the NTSC version would be 525 ? then the software in the pic will need to be changed .
