hello forum !
i have bought an led matrix 8x8 display but couldn't find its datasheet how much current should be supplied to it i tested few leds by supplying 5v through 220ohm resistor they have enough brightness.according to this arrangement i am supplying 22mA to led is it ok ?or what should be prefereable current

22mA should be fine, you'll need it bright because it'll dim when you start that 1:8 mux.

again the brightness will affect by the speed of scanning ,more fast you will get less bright display , slow scanning more brightness !

you can first check the display with more than 220E ok , after this according to the level of brightness adjust it .
