When we represent forces on a plane, we care of their direction (and so the angle), right?

Now this angle, what does it represent in real life?

me, pushing a box, with my hands making 90 degrees with the box, would I simply represent this by putting a vector perpendicular to the x-axis? okey, but where is the object here? and what does the origin (0,0) represent here?
