Post03 Oct 2008 12:51   12-24VDC to 230VAC/60Hz sine/trapezoidal 500W converter sch?

I am searching for recent designs in DC/AC converter/inverter (Schematics).
The unit should be transformer-less and using solid state only (ICs, MOSFETs etc).
Unit should be supplied from batteries (12 or 24 or 48 V) and outputs 230VAC/60Hz with power ranging from 500W to 2kW.
Any schematics, advices, component manufacturers?

Thank you very much! Do you know any transformer-less design?

no one has ever made a transformer-less inverter.

Theoratically you can make a transformerless power supply, you will have to design high power charge pump voltage doublers/multipliers, then have a sineweighted full bridge to get the sine.
but the efficiancy you get may be less than 10-15% and will not be practicle

Generally transformer-less also means one without the use of low frequency Iron core based transformer, instead people us a high frequency transformer to boost the dc voltage to high voltage Dc and use a bridge and filter to convert it to AC

TRANSFORMER LESS INVERTER IS NOT PRACTICALLY POSSIBLE.

IF YOU WANT A SIMPLE DESIGN IT WILL NOT BE POSIBLE WITHOUT

BULKY 50 HZ IRON CORE TRANSFORMERS.

IF A WANT TO USE A FERRITE TRANSFORMER THEN THING WILL VERY

DIFFICULT TO HANDEL FOR A HOBBIEST (BECAUSE YOU’RE QUESTION

TELLS YOU ARE HOBBIES T OF BEGGING LEVEL)
