Post30 Sep 2008 5:43   Clock generation for Sigma-delta ADC / modulator?

Hi Very Happy
I'm making sigma-delta modulator

I have some questions. How can I implement clock generator?

By using ring oscillator ( 5 inverter )
I could make clocks, but it seems unreliable

I heard that clock is very important for sigma-delta modulator

Are there good methods ?

thank you

What about a PLL? Yes, the clock is very important!

If you need a stable clk, you must use crystal and PLL.

If the clk is very low, crystal is enough.
