Hi guys,
i need some advice on using the various airwaves in air(including Wifi waves) to generate some electricity. and if it is possible to charge mobile.
I heard somewhere that it is possible to charge mobile by infrared. I am not sure how it works. we have a mini project in our third year of engineering. I need advice for the same.
If any 1 of u have some detail regarding this , pls post here.

| As a short result, you can't charge a mobile by using the various airwaves, cause the energy density is far too low. A solar panel is a feasible technique, can work from artifical light sources as well.

I like the comment about energy density. One might be able to extract energy using a variety of techniques but would it be worth the trouble?
As you explore various mechanisms look at both the energy density and the complexity of extraction.
Pick a few as benchmarks to compare against the various schemes you are considering. A hand powered generator may be a convenient reference.
