I am new to Serial Port Interfacing. I want to get data (Text) from Serial Port. Is there any tutorial or book for Serial Port. Thanks.

i advice you to use C++ cause interfacing is very easy
in it , as it has functions called : outp, inp
which is designed for interfacing .
you just know your serial port number .
